Updates, updates, updates

It's been a while since I last really worked on the site, a lot has happened. Most importantly, I've moved the shrine site to its own URL/domain, Crystal Memoria! I did this so I don't have to juggle a million different things under one domain, and also because I thought it'd make more sense to keep things seperated.

Over on my personal site, I've been posting about life stuff: importantly how I've been in the process of moving. It's been rough, not gonna lie, but most of my important stuff has been moved out so I don't have access to my 11x17 AIO fax machine to scan things right now (despite having gotten my grubby mitts on more stuff to archive lol). I'm like a week or three behind schedule because everything is fighting against me right now, but I'm hoping to be out Soon™ and back to the usual shenanigans.

On topic of having gotten some new things to archive, I have a few new things!

Note: I currently do not have the Crystal Bearers keychain in my possession, but it's coming in the mail in the next week-ish!

I've also started getting to work on custom merch! Currently I have the supplies on-hand to make bootlegs of the Crystal Bearers keychain, but other than that I haven't really done much outside of getting a couple 3D prints of the Chalice made:

Currently it's too cold out now to do anything with the Chalice; even if I could get sculpting and sanding work done, the painting process would have to wait until spring. However I think I'd still be able to get some silicone moulding done and make (dyed!!) epoxy test castings of the keychain. We will see soon though, I haven't exactly read the safety instructions on anything yet.

Another note before I close out this blog entry, I heard through the grapevine via another hobby (figure collecting) that WonFes is coming to the US! It's being held at Momo Con in Atlanta, Georgia. I unfortunately do not live anywhere near there nor do I currently have the money to go.

Why this is exciting news? Because WonFes is the biggest anime figure announcement event, and independent makers can go to show their work alongside the official stuff. There's a lot of original figure kits sold at this event but the biggest thing is one could theoretically get one-day-only permission from say, Square Enix, to display and/or sell their own homemade figure kits, and there's an interest check Google Form floating around for WonFes US. If WonFes US really takes off and I one day have money to partake, I would 1000000000% be down to try and ask Square Enix for permission to sell Chalice kits and other FFCC related figure kits.
